COVID-19: 13 confirmed cases, 16 recoveries

The Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 13 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 2,337.

According to HPA, the new cases are;

  • 05 locals
  • 07 Bangladeshi nationals
  • 01 Indian nationals

The cases were confirmed from 18:00 yesterday to 18:00 today.

Meanwhile, 16 more COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24-hours, increasing total recoveries to 1,927 people.

The new developments mean that the Maldives now has 397 active cases.

There are 303 people in isolation facilities, and 132 people in quarantine facilities.

49,338 samples, including repeated samples, have been taken by health authorities to conduct coronavirus testing.
