COVID-19: 80-year old passes away, 12th virus related death

The Maldives has recorded its 12th death connected with COVID-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced just now that an 80-year old Maldivian male admitted at the DH11 facility of Dharumavantha Hospital had passed away.

The time of death was recorded as 4:35.

The country recorded its eleventh death from the virus yesterday, meaning that the country has seen two consecutive deaths from the virus within two days.

A total of 33 additional cases of COVID-19 was recorded yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the Maldives now stands at 2,468. The Maldives now has 404 active cases.
