Sexual assault in pharmacy under investigation

Police have begun investigating the case of a woman who allegedly sexually assaulted in a pharmacy in Male’ City.

The case was reported last night and the family of the victim said to Sun that the alleged perpetrator was an Indian national working in a pharmacy of Male’ City. Family members are reported to have attacked the man after the incident.

The perpetrator is still in police custody.

“We lodged a complaint with police last night. The statement was collected three hours later. Police said that if there weren’t any CCTVs in the pharmacy or nearby, the case could not be won.” Said a family member.

Police are now investigating the matter. No arrests have been made so far.
