Ministry seeks interested parties for tertiary hospital projects

The Finance Ministry has announced for interested parties to construct and establish tertiary hospitals in two islands of the Maldives. 

An announcement by the Ministry read that it was seeking interested parties to build the planned tertiary hospitals in H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi and G.Dh. Thinadhoo. 

A bid security of no less than USD 2.3 million will have be deposited for the projects. The Ministry will be using the international competitive bidding policy to select parties to award the projects.

Soft copies of the information related to the project will be available from the Ministry website from September 14 onwards. 

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has pledged to establish tertiary hospitals in five different regions of the country. In addition to Thinadhoo and Kulhudhuffushi, hospitals were planned for L. Gan, Addu City and R. Ungoofaaru. Out of the five, the tertiary hospital in Addu City, Addu Equatorial Hospital is already in use.
