Monitoring measures lifted from Sh. Funadhoo

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Tuesday, lifted restrictive the temporary measures imposed on Funadhoo, a residential island located in Sh. Atoll.

Funadhoo was placed under monitoring by HPA on Monday, to conduct contact tracing on a police officer stationed in H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi who tested positive for COVID-19.

Health authorities completed contact tracing and lifted the measures imposed on Funadhoo at 05:15 pm on Tuesday.

The police officer who tested positive had recently visited police stations in several islands in the region.

He was tested after presenting to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 on Sunday, and the results came back negative on Monday.

HPA also imposed temporary restrictive measures in Kulhudhuffushi, H. A. Dhidhdhoo, H. A. Hoarafushi, H. A. Baarah, and H. Dh. Kurinbi in connection to the case.
