2 more COVID-19 cases identified from Kulhudhuffushi City

Two more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kulhudhuffushi city. 

Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) confirmed that two cases of the virus were identified from the city in the north. 

The two individuals are reportedly police officers. The total number of cases from the city now stands at 15. The first cases were identified on October 5, with the first confirmed case identified as also a police officer. 

Due to travels made by the officer in the region, the islands of H. A. Baarah, H. A. Dhidhdhoo, H. A. Hoarafushi, H. Dh. Kurinbi, and Sh. Funadhoo were placed under monitoring mechanisms. 

The six islands were released from the mechanisms after contact tracing was completed the following day.
