The camp was held under the slogan “Donate Blood for Humanity”, and was initiated to support blood shortage within Maldives.

“We have decided to continue to hold this camp as a CSR initiative. As such, this company has decided to hold blood donation camps in the future,” he said.

Areef said that the purpose of the camp is to assist the Thalassemia Center and ensure Thalassemia patients have an uninterrupted supply of blood.

He also urged additional organizations to hold similar blood donation campaigns to support the Thalassemia Center amid the shortage of blood for Thalassemia patients in Maldives.
