State institutions need to strengthen their work in order to fully attain justice for cases of scandals and corruption, Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem has said.

The PG was speaking in a ceremony today to inaugurate the Strategic Action Plan of the Anti-Corruption Commission today when he said that cases related to the public interest, especially corruption cases, cannot be left aside in any manner. Justice for such cases can only be attained by strengthening the work of the institutions and thinking on the same level as the wrongdoers.

“Only by strengthening the work in this area can these cases be taken to trial to attain full justice. We also have to develop our thinking to the same level as the perpetrators.” Said PG Shameem.

Shameem said that he was sure that the action plan inaugurated today would speed up the investigation work systematically.

The ACC and the PG Office were two institutions that needed to work together, said Shameem who added that the responsibilities of both institutions can only be fulfilled by succeeding in their work.

“The work of the ACC is my work as well. I can believe that the work of the ACC is also my work from the current system.” Said PG Shameem.

He expressed his desire to integrate and strengthen the connection between the two institutions and requested the cooperation of the ACC for the purpose.
