Huge demand for Gulf Air Maldives operations

Gulf Air has stated that it is receiving a lot of demand for the operations to the Maldives set to begin this month. 

The airline will be utilizing a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for the operations. 

Gulf Air operations are to commence on December 12 and will join four other Middle-Eastern airlines operating to the Maldives. 

Gulf Air commenced operations to the Maldives first in October 2019. The Maldives remains one of the most important markets for the airline. 

Tourism Ministry statistics show that the Maldives has received 473,284 tourists in 2020 so far. Since reopening its borders on July 15, the Maldives has received a total of 90,437 tourists.
