Fire damages engine house of Manafaru resort

A fire broke out in the engine house of the Manafaru Resort run in H. A. Atoll late last night. 

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) stated that the fire broke out around 3:35 midnight.

The fire broke out in a high-built go-down of the engine house and the generator of the engine house as well as the panel board and water plant in the next building was also damaged in the fire, according to MNDF. 

The MNDF fire station of the Northern Area, based in H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi were dispatched to the location to put out the fire. The fire was only controlled around 5:45 in the morning.
