Elderly man found dead on beach of Hulhumale' phase 2

An elderly individual who was swimming in the waters near phase 2 of Hulhumale’ has been found dead. 

Police said that the individual was an 86-year old local male. Reports of the incident were received around 12:20. 

The Hulhumale Hospital stated that the individual had passed away by the time he was brought in. Police are now looking into the incident. 

The beach of the Hulhumale’ phase 2 is now open after people were permitted to reside in the area recently.
