COVID-19: Maldives records third virus death today

Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) has announced the 82nd death related to COVID-19 in the Maldives. 

HEOC today announced just a short while ago that an 81-year old local woman who was receiving treatment at the DH11 facility of Dharumavantha Hospital had passed away due to the virus. The time of death is recorded as 14:46 today.

This is the 82nd death related to the virus and the third death today. A Bangladeshi national in K. Maafushi passed away around 7:50 today while a 60-year old Indian national in the DH11 facility passed away around 3:47 in the morning. 

A total of six deaths related to the virus were confirmed in the Maldives yesterday alone. The number of COVID-19 cases in the nation have skyrocketed as of recently with more than 1,400 cases confirmed in the last two days.
