Govt. seeks quarantine facilities for inbound travelers

Ministry of Health has announced plans to convert hotels and guesthouses into into quarantine facilities for inbound travelers – hence is seeking interested parties willing to facilitate this.

According to the announcement made by the Ministry on the subject – interested parties can visit the Health Emergency Operation Center at Dharubaarge between 10:00 and 14:00 on weekdays and submit their proposal.

Maldivian government decided to ease travel restrictions imposed on South Asian travelers and allow work permit holders from the region to travel to Maldives under special guidelines, as part of larger easements in restrictions following the success in controlling the surge in COVID-19 cases.

In line with this, work permit holders from South Asia are mandated to complete a quarantine period upon their arrival to the Maldives.
