Prosecutor General’s Office receives 10 complaints over inadequate investigations

Prosecutor General’s Office states it received 10 complaints over inadequate investigations within the first six months of this year.

According to a report submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office on its work over the course of the first six months of the year to the Parliament, the 10 complaints include complaints regarding a rape investigation, a child sexual abuse investigation, two domestic violence investigations, and a corruption investigation.

Prosecutor General’s Office received 29 complaints regarding 21 cases between January 1 and June 30. In addition to 10 complaints over inadequate investigations, it also includes four complaints asking for investigations.

 It also includes four complaints over delays in investigations, a complaint asking police to withdraw a case, and a complaint over the failure of an investigative agency to investigate a case.

Prosecutor General’s Office said it clarified information from investigative agencies and responded to all complaints.
