President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared Wednesday, July 28, 2021, and Thursday, July 29, 2021, as government holidays.

These two days follow two government holidays: Eid al-Adha and the Independence Day holidays. Hence, they are declared as government holidays by the President in order to ease travel plans for government employees and to allow continuity of the holiday without a break.

The government is scheduled to reopen again on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
