COVID-19: 122 new cases, 24 from Male’ area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Monday, announced 122 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 76,454.

According to HPA, the 122 new cases include; 24 cases from the greater Male’ region, 81 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 17 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 106 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 73,637.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,587 active cases.

There are 11 patients in hospitals.

6,072 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 122 new infections this Monday, 832 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

July 22: 122 cases

July 19: 140 cases

July 18: 63 cases

July 17: 80 cases

July 16: 114 cases

Maldives has recorded 218 COVID-19 deaths.
