COVID-19: 107 new cases, 30 from Male' area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Friday, announced 107 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 77,309.

According to HPA, the 107 new cases include; 30 cases from the greater Male’ region, 56 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 14 cases from operational resorts, six cases from islands under development, and two cases from industrial/islands used for other purposes.

Meanwhile, 52 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 74,481.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,595 active cases.

There are 13 patients in hospitals.

5,156 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
