Maldives records additional 190 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Tuesday, announced 190 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 95,222.      

According to HPA, the 190 new cases include; 47 cases from the greater Male’ region, 71 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 71 cases from operational resorts, and 1 case from liveaboards. 

Meanwhile, 141 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 92,820.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,127 active cases.      

There are 11 patients in hospitals.      

4,224 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours, including 1,370 samples from the greater Male' region. The positivity rate in the greater Male’ area is at 3 percent.

Maldives has recorded 262 COVID-19 deaths.
