MPS anniversary: Flag hoisting ceremonies held at nationwide police stations

Flag hoisting ceremonies have been held at police stations established at Male’ City and atolls on the occasion of the 89th anniversary of Maldives Police Service.

The flag hoisting ceremony at Male’ City was held in front of the police headquarters, Shaheed Hussain Adam Building. The flag hoisting ceremonies at atolls were held at local police stations established at residential islands.

Male’ flag hoisting ceremony was attended by Home Minister Sheikh Imran Abdulla, Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed, Deputy Commissioners of Police and other senior and junior police officers.

Meanwhile, flag hoisting ceremonies held at island police stations were attended by atoll commanders, senior officials from government authorities established at the islands and station staff.

The flag hoisting ceremony held annually, on occasion of the anniversary of Maldives Police Service, was only held with flagmen in the past two years in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
