President and First Lady host iftar for children at state shelter

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have hosted a special iftar for children at Kudakudhinge Hiyaa – a state-run children’s shelter in suburban Vilimale’.

The president and first lady hosted the iftar at the presidential palace, Muliaage, on Monday.

The president, first lady, and their children Sara and Yaman joined the iftar.

The iftar was also attended by parents of some of the children in the shelter.

Games such as chess and carom were set up for the children to play inside the presidential palace and outside in the garden.

The first family spent time talking and playing games with the children.
