Bank of Maldives (BML), on Sunday, has announced the completion of a barbeque area in K. Kaashidhoo – funded under the bank’s Community Fund which focuses on empowering individuals to contribute to society through sustainable community projects. 

The bank detailed the aim of the project to be the creation of a space to strengthen relations and bring the community together. In line with this, the newly developed barbeque area is equipped with barbeque grills, tables, chairs and benches. It also comprises of a ‘fini maizaan’, a relaxing area specially designed for senior citizens.

Proposal pertaining to the project was put forth by Mohamed Visaah. Following the completion of the project, he expressed hope for the space to be useful for Kaashidhoo residents and visiting the island.

“Our hope is that the space is useful for our community and those visiting the island. My sincere gratitude and thanks to Kaashidhoo Club Flyers and those who assisted in completing the project successfully,” he had said.

BML’s Community Fund is a program that aims to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects. So far, the bank has provided financial assistance for 65 projects across the country through the program.
