Medical report required for visa applications, extensions

Maldives Immigration has announced that medical report and expatriate health insurance policy will be required for visa applications and visa extensions, except for work visa and business visa. 

The change is effective May 31. 

The medical report submitted with visa applications and visa extension applications must be issued by a hospital or clinic approved by the Health Ministry, while the expatriate health insurance policy must be issued by a local insurer. 

Maldives Immigration states the documents ae not required for tourist visa extensions or sponsorship declaration applications.
