British Airways operating daily flights VIA for peak season

British Airways to operate daily direct flights to Maldives in time for the high season of tourism.

Although the airline is currently flying directly to Maldives twice a week, from November onwards, there will one direct flight every day.

It is the norm for the airline to operate flights or increase the number of flights in time for peak season.

During the summer months – April to October British Airways flies to Maldives via Doha, in connection with their partner airline Qatar Airways. Flights are operated from London, Manchester, and Edinburgh, with one stop in Doha. 

The United Kingdom is a significant region for the Maldivian tourist market. It is also the oldest market in the nation.

Furthermore, it is on the list of countries with the most visitors to Maldives.

As per statistics from Maldives Immigration, by September 2022, a total of 131,396 tourists visited Maldives from the UK.
