Magistrates appointed to Kudahuvadhoo, Funadhoo courts

Magistrates have been appointed to Dh. Kudahuvadhoo and Sh. Funadhoo magistrate courts.

Judicial Service Commission (JSC), in a statement on Sunday, said that the magistrates were selected following interviews with applicants for the post by Advisory Committee to the Commission on the Appointment of Judges.

The appointee to Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court is Yasir Mohamed, Corner, M. Veyah. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Shariah and Law from Villa College. He has been working in the judicial sector for three years, and have been serving as the legal officer at Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court since February 11, 2019.

Ibrahim Naeem, who was appointed to Funadhoo Magistrate Court, holds a Bachelors of Shariah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives. He has been working in the judicial sector for five years, and have been serving as the legal officer of Thulusdhoo Magistrate Court since August 2021.

The newly appointed magistrates are scheduled to take oath on December 4.
