Power goes out at IGMH

Power went out from the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on Sunday, leaving a large area of the main government hospital in darkness for around half an hour.

Witnesses report the power first went out around 08:20 pm, and returned around 08:40 pm.

The power went out for a second time again at 08:50 pm, and returned again 10 minutes later.

An official from the State Electric Company (STELCO) told Sun that power went out from several areas of Male’ City due to a technical issue, including the area where IGMH is located.
