President’s Eid message: A time for reconciliation and goodwill

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has remarked that Eid celebrations are a time for reconciliation and goodwill. 

In a message to the nation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha – President Solih extended greetings and felicitations to all Muslims in Makkah for the Holy Pilgrimage and to the members of the Muslim Ummah on the occasion.

The President, encouraging everyone to rekindle family bonds by embracing parents with respect and presenting gifts to their spouses and children with love, recommended visiting relatives and friends and exchanging Eid wishes to promote societal peace and harmony.

He also stressed that those with means must take the initiative to help the less fortunate.

President Solih concluded his message by calling on people to avoid anger and violence and seek solace in life through compassionate relationships. He also urged people to let go of jealousy or animosity on this occasion.
