400 housing units to be developed in Fuvahmulah City

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, on Monday, has contracted a party to develop 400 housing units in Fuvahmulah City on a design and build basis.

The housing units were contracted to PT Citramas Industries in a joint venture with Flex Ink Private Limited.

The agreement pertaining to the project was signed during a ceremony held at the Housing Ministry on Monday, by Director General of the Housing Department Ahmed Vishan Naseem and the projects’ Managing Director Najah Shareef.

The project valued at MVR 470 which will be funded from the state budget was contracted to be completed within 540 days.

Flats developed under the project will measure 1,000 by 400 square and comprise of three rooms, three bathrooms, a sitting room, a kitchen, a dining room, a laundry and a storeroom. The ground floor will be utilized as a commercial maintenance office while there will also be a parking zone. Each building will have two apartments.
