One injured by hammer in violent altercation in Male’

An individual is being treated at ADK Hospital for injuries sustained during a violent altercation at Sosun Magu in Male’ City.

The incident took place at approximately 3:30pm this evening, near VTV’s office in Sosun Magu.

A bystander who witnessed the incident said that two people on a motorbike had approached an individual in the area, and attempted to assault the person with a hammer.

However, the intended target had fought back, and attacked the assailant instead.

One individual injured in the altercation is being treated at ADK Hospital.

Police confirmed to Sun that one arrest had been made in connection to the case, while they further investigate the incident.
