President Solih: Prophet's teachings centered on promoting peace and unity

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Tuesday, has remarked that the Prophet's teachings are centered on promoting peace and unity – adding that the propagation of Islam by the Prophet was deeply rooted in these values.

He made the remark during an address to the nation on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad Rasūl Allāh Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (PBUH)’s Eid Milad ul-Nabi.

In his address – the President urged citizens to seek inspiration from the teachings and life of the Prophet. He also emphasized the importance of making amends and rectifying personal conduct in alignment with the Prophet's teachings.

As we mark the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) teachings and life – President Solih underscored the fundamental essence of his teachings and life, citing they are centered on promoting peace and unity.

He noted that the propagation of Islam by the Prophet was deeply rooted in these values, manifested through acts of forgiveness, empathy, and generosity.

In light of this, the President made an appeal to the public urging them to make necessary adjustments and enhancements in their lives by adhering to the Prophet's Sunnah. He stressed the significance of embodying fundamental teachings such as respecting parents, maintaining familial and communal bonds, and promoting honesty and integrity.

The President’s Office stressed that the call to action underscores the President's commitment to promoting a lifestyle that embodies the values and principles of Islam.

Concluding his address,  President Solih extended his sincere greetings to the leaders of Muslim nations, Islamic organizations, and all Muslims worldwide in commemoration of the occasion.
