Woman remanded for 15 days over stabbing inside Male’ shop

The woman arrested for stabbing a man in Male’ on Saturday has been remanded in custody for 15 days.

A Police Spokesperson, on Saturday, said they were informed a man with injuries from a sharp object was being treated at ADK hospital at approximately 11:02am.

The suspect who was remanded for 15 days has been identified as a 29-year-old woman.

Her name, however, has not been disclosed by the police.

Police said that they are investigating the case further.

A video circulating on social media shows a woman entering an electronics shop in Male’ and talking to a male employee. After a while, the video shows the woman taking a knife and suddenly stabbing the employee in the neck and leaving the shop.

ADK Hospital said the victim was presently in stable condition.
