Muizzu: Cabinet will have people who don't look for other people's approval after receiving instructions

President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said that his government will have people who do not have to seek approval from others when he gives instructions.

When asked about the list of people who wil allegedly be his cabinet members circulating on social media, Muizzu said the list is 95 percent accurate.

Addressing the talk about the alleged cabinet members, Muizzu said there would be people at the top of his government who would be able to work day and night to fulfill the promises he made to the people.

Referring to his campaign speeches, he said he would take a team that would work according to the people's wishes.

"I said it would be an educationally capable team. So put all this together and I said I want everyone to move forward together. I want peace to come to the country. I don’t want us to always move forward in a negative, always hostile spirit of division and revenge. I want to move forward together in peace. This is actually what I have been talking about,” he said.

Muizzu said the cabinet should be formed to achieve all these things. The part women will play in his government will also increase, he said. Therefore, the government has decided to hand over the management of six important companies to women, he said.

“There will be women in the cabinet. Although not so many in proportion to the entire cabinet, the cabinet and companies combined, the top management with the most women so far, I believe will come. That's a certainty. As much as possible, we will look at hiring someone who is relevant to the field, who is educated in the field or who has the best experience in the field,” he said.

"And if not, there will be opportunities for management vice and experienced managers who can run a portfolio and have the closest relationship with the field."

Noting that new faces will be seen when the cabinet is formed, Muizzu said all the members of the cabinet are people he has full confidence in.

In addition, he said that the cabinet will not include anyone who does not have at least a first degree and that the people appointed to the cabinet will have education or experience in the field.

"I want to make my government a clean government. This government will really say no to corruption. I will not give a chance to a cabinet member or an MD. I am sure no one I have hired will give a chance to that," Muizzu said.

Muizzu said his team was formed with the intention of forming a clear, transparent and capable government.
