Colourful and beautiful flamingos have once again adorned the mangroves of Kulhudhuffushi.

With the Iruvai Monsoon of 2021, many flamingoes that came to Maldives attracted the attention of the entire country. They have since settled in the mangroves of many islands across Maldives.

With the start of this year's Iruvai Monsoon, the flamingoes have started visiting Maldives again. Many people are taking photos of the birds, which are filling social media.

"It is believed that the birds came today. There are very beautiful birds,” a person from Kulhudhuffushi said.

Earlier this month, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) also announced that seasonal birds will visit Maldives during this period. The EPA has urged people not to harm the birds.

There has been a previous case of flamingoes being caught and abused. The EPA has investigated the case and taken action against them.
