President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Sham’aan Waheed as the Controller General of Immigration.
He was presented with his letter of appointment in a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Sunday.
Sham’aan has 14 years of experience working at the Maldives Immigration. However, he was suspended from his job during the last administration.
He replaces former Controller General of Immigration Ahmed Mohamed Hussain (Hanafy).
