Social Council discusses 'Hafuthaa 14' pledges pertaining to social sector

The first meeting of the government’s Social Council, chaired by Vice President Hussain Mohamed, was held this morning at the President’s Office.

At the meeting, members of the Social Council reviewed the distribution of commitments outlined in the 'Hafuthaa 14' roadmap, analyzing the division of responsibilities between the President's Office and various ministries.

The meeting’s discussions were also centered on strategic planning for the effective implementation of the roadmap. 'Hafuthaa 14' encompasses a total of 161 pledges, with 61 specifically addressing the social sector. During the meeting, ministers from different ministries provided the Social Council with the latest updates on their efforts to fulfill the commitments outlined in the 'Hafuthaa 14' roadmap.

The current administration unveiled ‘Hafuthaa 14’ roadmap, detailing its first 100-day pledges, ahead of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s inauguration.

President Muizzu has assured to undertake all efforts necessary to honor all pledges, even declaring that the first 100 days will be counted without including government holidays.
