MIB wins IRBA Cambridge Ifa Excellence Award

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has been honored with IRBA Cambridge Ifa Excellence Award for Islamic Retail Banking in Maldives 2023.

MIB received the award at the 9th Islamic Retail Banking Awards held in Manama, Bahrain recently.

The Islamic Retail Banking Awards (IRBA) honor individuals and institutions who have demonstrated great commitment and made significant contributions to the development, growth, and success of Islamic retail banking.

In addition to this, MIB also received the ‘Strongest Islamic Retail Bank in South Asia’ award at IRBA 2023.

Furthermore, MIB’s CEO, MD Mufaddal Idris Khumri, was recognized as the 'IRBA Cambridge Ifa Personality of the Year 2023' as well.

In October, MIB also received the Islamic Finance Forum South Asia (IFFSA)’s award for Islamic Bank of the Year – South Asia 2022-23.

IFFSA Awards is open to all Islamic finance institutions in the South Asia region. The MIB has previously also received several IFFSA awards.

Established in 2011, the MIB is the sole Islamic bank in the Maldives.
