Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, on Monday, has remarked that Male’ residents will see a new height of development if PNC’s mayoral candidate Azima Shakoor remains behind President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Speaking at a campaign event at Galolhu district on Monday night – VP Latheef said Male’ will be made peaceful and a desirable place to live if Azima as Male’ Mayor, is behind President Muizzu.

The vice president also noted that President Muizzu had showcased a difference during his tenure as Male’ mayor.

“Many things were done for Male’ residents as pledged. Pledges were implemented for the people in a manner the government cannot influence to the best capacity he could within the confinements of law,” he said.

He went on to describe the upcoming Male’ City Council by-election as a golden opportunity to bring the development that the president had envisioned to bring as the mayor, adding Azima is capable of bringing this development alongside the president.
