Auditor General’s Office’s Facebook hacked

The Auditor General’s Office’s Facebook page was hacked on Friday night.

A video posted from the Facebook page shows Indian rupees surrounding computer screens showing trading statistics.

The Office, in a post on X announcing the Facebook page had been hacked, and said efforts were underway to resolve the issue.

The website of the Juvenile Court was also recently hacked.

The text on the website read that it was hacked over the derogatory remarks made by three deputy ministers against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media platform X, in response to a video promoting tourism in Lakshadweep.

As per the text, the act was shameful and impacted the relations India has with other nations.

The three ministers at Youth Ministry – Malsha Shareef, Mariyam Shiuna and Abdulla Mahzoom Majid – have since been suspended.

The Maldivian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying the opinions were personal, and do not represent the views of the Maldivian government.
