Urbanco has commenced work on building a temporary mosque in Hulhumale’ Phase II in conjunction with Ramadan to ease the daily lives of people residing in the area.

As per the corporation, the temporary mosque can accommodate up to 150 people and will have separate sections for men and women.

Urbanco’s goal is to complete the temporary mosque before the beginning of Ramadan.

Temporary mosques are often built in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan to accommodate the higher number of people going to mosques. Moreover, the increase in the number of inhabitants in Hulhumale’ has also increased the need for more mosques.

These temporary mosques, however, continue to be in use after Ramadan.

In this regard, a temporary mosque built in Hulhumale’ Phase I remains in use.

At present, there is a permanent mosque in Hulhumale’ Phase II in addition to several temporary mosques.

Urbanco reaffirmed its commitment to ensure Hulhumale’ is developed with the necessary facilities for residents and visitors.
