1,500 capacity mosque inaugurated in Hulhumale’ Phase II

‘Masjid Hassan Adam’, a mosque developed by a private party Hulhumale’ Phase II was inaugurated on Friday.

The 1,500 people capacity mosque was inaugurated for this afternoon’s Friday prayer by Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

Speaking after inaugurating the mosque, Minister Shaheem cited the establishment of an additional mosque in Hulhumale’ Phase II ahead of Ramadan as a huge easement for inhabitants in the suburb.

The development of an additional five mosques in Phase II is presently underway.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has also developed a temporary mosque in Phase II for Ramadan.

Two years ago, another permanent mosque developed a private party was inaugurated in Hulhumale’ Phase II. ‘Masjid Ameel Jaleel’ was developed in honor of Marhoom Ahmed Ameel Jaleel who passed away in 1994 by his children.
