The campaign spokesperson of PPM/PNC Heena Waleed said the current administration has settled MVR 871 million in loan repayments within the last three months.

Heena claimed the current government inherited MVR 318 million from the previous administration in loan repayment. She the outstanding loan was significant when President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assumed governance.

Additionally, the current government has already spent MVR 1.1 billion on Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP), said Heena.

"However, during former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration, the total PSIP spending for first three months of 2019 stood at just MVR 494 million," she commented.

She further criticized majority of the projects initiated during the previous government were initiated without both foresight and planning. She added this eventually led to most of these initiatives facing interruptions.

Heena claimed President Muizzu was currently attempting to correct the course of all halted projects.
