Distribution of Saudi-donated dates begin

Islamic Ministry has begun distributing dates donated to Maldives by the Saudi government.

The Saudi government donates dates to Maldives for Ramadan each year.

The distribution of dates in the greater Male’ area will be carried out by the Islamic Ministry at the Islamic Center, and the distribution of dates in the atolls will be carried out by councils.

Timings:

• April 8-9: 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm
• April 14-18: 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm
• April 23-25: 09:30 am to 12:00 pm

The dates will be distributed at the rate of one packet per household. Islamic Ministry has asked that those who come to collect the dates come with their national ID card.

Like last year, Saudi Arabia donated 50 tons of dates to the Maldives.
