Land allocated for two new mosques in Hulhumale’

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has allocated land to the Islamic Ministry to build two new mosques in Hulhumale’.

The land allocation was agreement was signed by Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and HDC’s Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed on Monday.

According to HDC, the new mosques will be built in Hulhumale’ Phase II and Phase III.

The Islamic Ministry was allocated a 27,920 square feet plot for the mosque in Phase II, and a 21,952 square feet plot for the mosque in Phase III.

HDC did not say when the construction would begin.
