Shahid’s father passes away

Main opposition MDP’s leader Abdulla Shahid’s father, Sheikh Moosa Jameel has passed away.

Shahid, in a post on social media, said his father passed away this morning.  

My beloved father Sheikh Moosa Jameel has passed away this morning.

Throughout my life, he has been my biggest strength, my most sincere advisor, and my most sincere critic.

He shaped my personality, guided my career, and advised me every step of the way.

Moosa Jameel, who is from Dharavandhooge, has five children. Mohamed Shahid, the oldest, followed by Abdulla Shahid, Ahmed Shahid, Fathimath Shahida and Aminath Shahida. The two youngest children passed away in a drowning accident in 1980, during a family trip to V. Keyodhoo.

Moosa Jameel is a descendant of Huravee dynasty.
