Maldives Immigration announced on Wednesday that it has resumed issuing online tokens for passport collection, after an issue with the QueueBee app resulted in disruptions to the service.

Technical issues with QueueBee prevented customers from requesting passport collection service tokens on Tuesday.

Customers were asked to take physical tokens from the reception area of Immigration headquarters, located at the Velana Building in Male’.

In a post on X on Wednesday afternoon, Immigration announced that the issue with the app has now been resolved.

“The issue with QueueBee application has been resolved, and customers can request tokens for passport collection,” said Immigration.

The agency apologized for the inconvenience and expressed appreciation for the patience of customers.

QueueBee is widely used by state institutions, hospitals, banks and other public service providers in the Maldives, eliminating the need for customers to wait in queue to access services.
