Eid festivities in Hulhumale’ to kickoff tonight with bonfire

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced the details of grand festivities planned in Hulhumale’ for this year’s Eid al-Adha.

According to HDC, the festivities will kick off tonight. The schedule for the festivities is as follows;

Eid ‘vedhun’, bonfire and boduberu tonight at 20:30pm at Phase I Ruhgandu 1 and 21:00pm at Phase II Channel Beach

Eid prayer tomorrow at 7:00am at Phase I Synthetic Track and Phase II empty land plot north of Hiyaa Tower 16

Eid Udhiya and bondibaiy at Hulhumale’ cricket stadium after Eid prayer

Watersports event from 16:00pm to 17:00pm tomorrow at Phase I Ruhgandu 1

Children’s evening and Central Park from Friday to Sunday

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), in collaboration with some government offices and organizations, is also set to celebrate Eid al-Adha in Male’ area under an event titled ‘Eid Haveeru 1446’.

According to MNDF, the event will showcase various Eid festivities and culture in the Maldives in the past, with a fusion of modern characters.

The government will be celebrating Eid al-Adha on a national scale at three islands: HA. Kelaa, K. Guraidhoo and L. Gan.
