LONDON (AP) — The English Football Association has fined Newcastle and Norwich for failing to control their players during a Premier League match.
The incident happened near the end of their ill-tempered 0-0 draw on Jan. 28.
Newcastle striker Loic Remy and Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson were each shown a red card by referee Chris Foy after pushing each other and then squaring up head-to-head on the touchline.
Newcastle accepted the FA misconduct charge and was fined 20,000 pounds ($32,700).
But the FA says Norwich denied the charge so was fined 30,000 pounds ($49,200) after being found guilty of misconduct.
The FA said Friday: "Both clubs were warned as to their future conduct."
