Passengers were left injured after two dinghies travelling between B. Fehendhoo and B. Goidhoo collided, this Wednesday.
Member of Goidhoo Council, Ilyaas Ibrahim reported to “Sun” that the incident took place at approximately 1 pm, inside the lagoon shared by Goidhoo and Fehendhoo.
“I don’t yet know what caused the accident,” said Ilyaas.
Four people left injured in the collision are being treated at Goidhoo Health Center.
Goidhoo Health Center has informed that four of the accident victims were being treated at the center, but did not release details on the extent of the injuries.
Informed sources reported to “Sun” that all four of the accident victims are men, and that some of them have suffered critical injures.
Dinghies are the main mode of transportation between Goidhoo and Fehendhoo, which share the same lagoon. A number of students and patients from Fehendhoo travel to Goidhoo via dinghies on a daily basis.
