Thieves break into MIRA Hulhumale’ office

Police are investigating a break-in at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA)’s office in suburban Hulhumale’.

The break-in was reported to the police at approximately 08:00 am this Sunday.

The police have not disclosed details regarding the break-in, and continue to operate at the scene.

MIRA’s spokesperson also declined to comment on the case, citing that it remains an ongoing police investigation.

The extent of the damage therefore remains unclear at this point.
