Shop, restaurant opening hours limited to 05:00-22:30

The opening hours for tea shops, cafes, restaurants, canteens and shops have been restricted as authorities roll out additional protective measures against COVID-19 amid a surge in new cases.

Economic Ministry has announced that starting this Wednesday, opening hours for shops, tea shops, cafes and restaurants will be limited to 05:00 am to 10:30 pm.

Economic Ministry has instructed businesses establishments that directly serve customers to adhere to Health Protection Agency (HPA)’s guidelines.

The move comes after authorities reinstated a curfew in Male’ region from 11:00 pm to 4:30 am, and a ban on vehicular traffic from 8:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
