President Solih concludes visit to Bangladesh, Qatar

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has returned to Maldives upon conclusion of his official visit to Qatar and state visit to Bangladesh.

President Solih was joined on his trip to Qatar and Bangladesh by First Lady Fazna Ahmed and senior government officials.

He made his first stop in Qatar on March 14 - an official visit to celebrate the reinstatement of diplomatic ties between Maldives and Qatar.

During his visit to Qatar, President Solih met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, for talks on strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries

He concluded his visit to Qatar and departed on a state visit to Bangladesh on March 17.

During his visit to Bangladesh, President Solih served as chief guest at the official ceremony to commemorate the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman – Bangladesh’s first President.

He also participated in bilateral talks with the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, engaging in discussions on further enhancing existing relations and extending cooperation across multiple sectors. The two leaders also presided over the signing of four agreements aimed at bolstering mutual cooperation to further enhance existing bilateral ties between Maldives and Bangladesh.
